Some call me Davenport..or “Port”
What can I say about myself? I’m a 44 year old married man with way more grey hair than I should have. I have one child. Correction, one amazing daughter. I live with a rescue Brussels Griffon and a “teacup” Belgian Malinios named Chica, 3 cats, 2 horses, and waaaayyy too many chickens. One of my cats, MY cat, is named affectionately named “Lil’ Fang”. I found her in a parking lot at an airport. She came up to me and mewed. Now she is my animal soulmate. She is my purr-parrot. My “dopplefanger.” I spelled that correctly. After spending time with the wonderful wife and child, caring for all the animals, and working full time, I try to relax with my thoughts and things. I love technology. All of it. I just don’t have the money I need to fuel my love for tech. So, I try to live within my means and buy/use things that may be a year or two older than immediately relevant, or used. I don’t mind used. I love a value oriented deal. In addition, I am a gamer at heart and still make time to play the games I love. Music and photography as well, are near and dear to me. Music especially. It has helped me make sense of a lot. I wanted to make a site where I could share my opinion and thoughts on tech, music, games, and anything else that I decide to write about. I would not call myself an expert, but possibly a bard of the tech/meta world. I know enough to make due. I am NOT set in my ways and can accept trade-offs when a good value is on the horizon. I have become more and more passionate about photography since getting my OM-1. So this is all both new and old to me. Enjoy the journey

A little history…
I can not count the amount of Digital Camera’s I have owned. It’s embarrassing. Same goes for laptops, PC’s, Mac’s, Chromebooks, and cellular phones. I have shifted providers more than I care to admit, and my musical tastes have varied widely over the years.
Now
I use a Dell XPS 13 9315 for daily use, and a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 as my pocket computer. I use an Olympus OM-1 as my Digital Camera, with a series of M43 lenses. I am not a fanboy of any brand, but I do appreciate a solid, well-built piece of tech.
